US businesses are hiring a bookkeeper through RemoteVetted. You'll manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, record transactions, and prepare financial reports. Working directly with business owners or accountants, you'll keep their finances accurate and organized. What you'll do
- Record daily financial transactions in accounting software
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Manage accounts payable and process vendor invoices
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Prepare bank deposits and reconciliation reports
- Generate financial statements and reports for review
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Assist with year-end closing and tax preparation
What you need
- Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum 2 years)
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- B2+ English level (fluent written and spoken)
- Reliable internet and dedicated workspace
Nice to have
- Experience with payroll processing
- Knowledge of US tax requirements
- Familiarity with multiple accounting platforms
- Experience reconciling credit card processing accounts
- Virtual bookkeeping experience
