What you'll do
- Process and verify attorney and staff time entries for accuracy and completeness
- Generate client invoices from time records and matter codes
- Maintain and reconcile trust account ledgers to ensure regulatory compliance
- Track billing rates, retainers, and client account balances
- Prepare billing reports and aged receivables analyses for firm management
- Handle client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Audit invoices for proper coding, rates, and client billing rules before sending
What you need
- 1–2 years of legal billing or legal accounting experience
- Proficiency with legal billing software (TimeSolv, Bill4Time, Clio, or similar)
- Intermediate Excel skills for data entry and reconciliation
- Understanding of IOLTA trust accounting rules and compliance requirements
- B2+ English level (upper intermediate): clear written and verbal communication
Nice to have
- Experience with law firm practice management platforms
- Knowledge of legal timekeeping standards and billing best practices
- Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks
- Experience managing multiple client billing cycles
