US law firms are hiring legal assistants through RemoteVetted. In this role, you manage attorney calendars, prepare legal documents, and track filing deadlines. You'll work closely with attorneys to keep cases organized and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. It's a great role if you're detail-oriented and want to support the legal team behind the scenes.

What you'll do
- Maintain attorney calendars and schedule client meetings, court dates, and depositions
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence
- Track and manage filing deadlines with court systems and regulatory bodies
- Organize case files and maintain document management systems
- Assist with legal research and cite-checking under attorney supervision
- Format and proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with court rules
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel as needed
What you need
- B2+ English proficiency (fluent written and spoken)
- Experience as a legal assistant or in a law office
- Knowledge of legal document preparation and court filing procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and legal document formatting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Nice to have
- Experience with legal case management software
- Familiarity with e-filing systems
- Knowledge of specific practice areas (litigation, corporate, real estate)
- Experience with legal research tools like Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Paralegal certification or legal education
