US dental practices are hiring a dental billing specialist through RemoteVetted. You'll process insurance claims, handle patient statements, follow up on outstanding payments, and resolve billing issues. This role keeps the practice's cash flow healthy and is essential to smooth operations.

What you'll do
- Process and submit dental insurance claims to carriers with accurate codes and documentation
- Track claim status and resubmit claims when needed to reduce denials
- Create and send patient statements for out-of-pocket balances and coordinate payment arrangements
- Review patient eligibility and insurance benefits before appointments
- Follow up on outstanding balances through phone calls and written collection letters
- Manage insurance attachments, pre-authorizations, and prior authorization requests
- Reconcile payments received from insurance and patients against submitted claims
- Handle patient billing inquiries and explain coverage details clearly
What you need
- Dental billing experience or strong dental insurance knowledge
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Fluent in English at B2 level or higher, spoken and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy with codes and claim submission
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet daily claim submission targets
- Basic understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and codes (CDT)
Nice to have
- Experience with dental DSOs or large multi-location practices
- Knowledge of common insurance plans and state-specific dental benefits
- Experience with claim scrubbing software
- Familiarity with EOB (Explanation of Benefits) processing
